On the 17th of January, the Scottish Apple Producers celebrated their first Winter Wassailing at Megginch Castle’s orchard.
SAP was happy to host our first event of the year, bringing together the apple community including some of our own apple producers to bless our orchards for the year to come, we had some singing, poetry reading and food (loads of apple baked goods) and the most delicious warm apple juice to toast for our next harvest.
Preserving tradition and highlighting the role of orchards and apples in the community is one of the objectives of the group and we are happy to keep supporting activities which do so and bring people together.
