Hyrneside is a place for Scottish Countryside Escapes, Natural Adventures and Farm Field Events by the River Tay where Malting Barley + Heritage and Classic Cider Apples are grown for drinks.
Over 35 varieties, including apples with grim stories like The Bloody Ploughman and apples with humorous names like Slack ma Girdle, are alley cropped in an arable field and underplanted with a permanent wildflower mix, which attracts pollinators and pest eating insects to spread throughout the crops.
In Spring 2021, Hyrneside released their inaugural cider and welcome their first guests to Old Parkhill, a beautiful three bedroom holiday cottage, which sits just above the apple field.
